Working with the right photographer and making sure that you are a match for their style is critical. From a photographer’s standpoint, I must find my “right bride.” In addition, the vendors that my brides work with are everything. Makeup artists and hair stylists do their magic, and this means that I am able to quickly snap my shutter as moments naturally unfold before me.
Priscilla Wright of Priscilla Francine Makeup is a reliable artist. She enjoys both the modern and the traditional, the soft and the bold. Her “chairside manner” is impeccable and warm. Trust me when I say that she has worked through some difficult moments with poise and grace!
Although she is based in Campbell, CA, Priscilla has been willing to meet me (or her brides) anywhere, any time. You must check out her new studio, devoted solely to making brides look fabulous! I particularly love the colors — clean yet bold. Priscilla recently taught me to put my eye makeup on before foundation and powder, as there will undoubtedly be a mess to clean up in the under eye area.
Now on to a tiny secret: PRISCILLA STYLES SHOOTS! Although she regularly works with industry renowned blogs such as Glitter Guide, Priscilla is able to conceptualize and guide any team through a shoot. This includes color palletes, accessories, locations, etc. This makes her the artist of choice for both brides AND vendor teams.
Because of Priscilla’s experience and exposure, she has begun to work with local celebrities, such as Mrs. San Francisco Bay Area, Erica Sanders. She also introduced me to a fabulous jewelry designer, Joanna Jackson Cleveland of Pyrce. Joanna joined us on the styled concept shoot with Erica Sanders and debuted both the delicate and the bold. I can’t wait to show you more — both my local and destination brides who are looking for one-of-a-kind pieces this year.
By the way, this hand painted chocolate heart (and its friends) didn’t make it to the end of our styled shoot!
Happy engagement season!
