We were young and hot. Well, at least we were young. Don’t judge on what you are about to see — high-waisted jeans, belt cinched tight, Heidi looking like Michelle Duggar…

Holly and I met at seventeen. We, along with the third leg of our friendship tripod, had it all. Jam-packed schedules, friends galore, parties that we hosted at our Winfield Way home in Aptos. We walked to the beach within minutes (wearing, mind you, our bodysuit tank tops — remember those?). She worked at Zoccoli’s pasta house and would share her one precious dinner serving with me every day. She also worked at Camouflage in downtown Santa Cruz. I’ll save more about that for another day for sure! Anyway, Holly and I shared this Winfield house with Heather. Yep — Holly, Heather and Heidi, and we all drove Hondas!

I’m not sure what intense conversation parted us back then, in around 1993 or 1994. We have seen each other only twice in 17 years. The power of Facebook is strong, and we have reconnected. It was my pleasure yesterday to shoot Holly and her new fiance, Dave. Stay tuned, as there will definitely be a blog post coming with photos! In the meantime, rest assured that Holly still has that same sassy, sexy face. Meanwhile, we have both downgraded our waistlines to include a mid rather than “rib” rise!
